Striving for best trainer practice among its own staff, in 2016 Sterling Training designed a unique trainer training programme, called ‘Training International Learners and Trainees’ or TILT as it’s now known.
Since 2017, Sterling has delivered TILT to over 1,500 UK military instructors through the Land Warfare Centre (LWC) and Army Recruiting and Initial Training Command (ARITC), the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) and Army Special Operations Branch (ASOB Rangers).
There have been 5,000 international students from 120 countries trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst since 1947. The international cadets enrich the course at Sandhurst, bringing with them cultural and operational experience from around the world.
The Academy approached Sterling to trial the TILT course with a pilot group of instructors in the summer of 2022. As a result, we’re delighted that a new 3-year contract has been awarded to us and we look forward to being back at this, one of the most famous military academies in the world.
